I started collecting Pokemon cards as a kid. Like most people who grew up in the late nineties, the hobby was everywhere — and then life happened, and it wasn’t. I stepped away around 2010 and didn’t look back.
In 2017 I came back. And everything had changed.
The cards I remembered as a kid were now serious money. The hobby had grown into a global market with its own economics, its own grading systems, its own version of insider knowledge — and almost no one talking about it honestly. The influencers were reading charts. The Discords were full of noise. Everyone had an opinion and almost no one had a framework. So I built one.
Over the years I have helped collectors informally — walked friends through what their collection was actually worth, talked people out of bad submissions, helped negotiate purchases they were about to get wrong, and identified cards sitting in binders that were worth far more than anyone realised. I have been on both sides of the table at shows. I have made expensive mistakes and learned exactly what they cost.
I am not a financial advisor. I will never tell you what to do with your money. What I will do is look at your specific cards, your specific collection, and give you a real answer — not a general one. The kind of answer you cannot get from a YouTube video or a Discord server no matter how long you scroll.
My deepest expertise is in Pokemon and One Piece. I am actively building my knowledge in Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh, Lorcana, and the broader TCG market because the collectors I work with do not stay in one lane and neither do I.
I built 8 Bit Archive and The Collection Accelerator for one type of person — the collector who has done the work, built something real, and is ready for the next level.
